Chinese Gong For Ceremonies
May 30th, 2010 by admin
In many ceremonies, the Chinese gong is always there. It completes any vivacious event. Its sounds signify the beginning or end of an event. In ancient Chinese tradition, before someone airs any announcement the gong was used to catch everybody’s attention. The sound of it will depend on its size. The larger ones will produce the deeper pitch sounds and will sustain longer. Wind, Chao and Bao Gongs are just few of the many kinds of gongs. Each of them produces distinct sounds. For some people living in South East Asian countries gongs are intended for collection because touching them would bring them fortune and strength.
