I was encouraged by my family to pursue a LEED certification once I announced to them that I wanted to go into construction consulting. I followed through with their urgings and took the classes. I soon found myself a little lost as to how I would market my new skills and knowledge. Luckily, the school I attended offered assistance in my area. The connected me with the right materials, ideas, and people to get my business off the ground. I have never heard of such a supportive network of people, and my success is a direct result of my educational institution’s willingness to help me.
