Is low cost data recovery a myth

When your hard drive crashes it can be very frustrating. The first people usually have is, why didn’t I back my data up? I mean, they all know the drives don’t last forever and that their data is valuable. Furthermore they have probably been told 10 or more times that is critical that they back their data up so that when disaster comes they have a plan of action to recover. It’s still people don’t do it. They refuse to back up their data and then when their hard drive crashes they are simply out of luck. So the next option turns to any sort of data recovery service. I’ve seen it 1000 times, the next thing they do is to go to Google only type in data recovery help. But then the reality sets in on how expensive it is to get data off of a hard disc that has crashed. Simply put, it is extremely expensive. So the next thing they will do is type in low-cost data recovery into Google hoping that there are some discount services they can use to recover their precious data. But more bad news there. Most of the people advertising as low cost recovery services are actually quite expensive as well. They just know the desperate people are searching on this term and they’re trying to pull them in so they can capture their business as well. So the sad truth is you need to backup your data religiously and have a good process for taking off-site so that when things crash you’ll have a plan and won’t be paying big bills for data recovery.
